This week Sheila Granger’s program of virtual gastric band was featured on the CBS-TV 11:00 news. It was so well received and got such a great amount of interest, that they ran the same segment again the following day on the 6:00 evening news. I know that means that there is a great amount of interest in this type of program among the general public. Do you need any further proof that learning Sheila’s program would mean a boost to your own hypnosis business practice? I know you’re smart enough to have the correct answer to that question. Here’s the featured segment they ran on the CBS-TV news featuring Marc Carlin using Sheila Granger’s virtual gastric band program. CBS-TV called it Lapband Hypnosis, or Lap Band hypnosis. They also featured two of Marc Carlin’s clients. One who was just finishing the program, who lost 4 pants sizes, and one who was just beginning the program who also reported a weight loss after her first week.
Berta reported not only has she lost weight after her first week, but she could actually fit into her clothes while standing up. Previously, she had to lay down on the bed and slide into her jeans, now she’s able to put them on standing up. And all without the deprivation and craziness of dieting!
This is your time to learn how to help your clients with Sheila Granger’s powerful program. As you can clearly see this is a newsworthy item. This program will always be effective, but like yesterday’s newspaper, once the news media in your area have done their reports about it, you will miss out on you becoming the authority in your local area. Join us now in Las Vegas for our next training on January 21-23, 2011. Don’t miss this limited opportunity.
You can sign up here at the virtual gastric band training seminar class in Las Vegas and assure your place in history!
The rest of this post refers to the first training we did in NYC. This one is over and done and is not relevant anymore. I left it up for nostalgia sake. This is what you missed by not coming to NYC. As a result of this training, we are getting featured in the news because this is a newsworthy story. You can be the best in your field as well. Virtual Gastric Band Training In NYC October 15-17, 2010 – Hotels
The dates are set for the training of our system of the virtual gastric band for weight loss. You can sign up for this training. There are a couple of things you should know if you want to be trained in this exciting new way of performing weight loss hypnosis. This training is for practicing hypnotists only. We will not be offering training on how to become a hypnotist. So don’t expect that type of training here. This is a training for those who already possess the skills of a consulting hypnotist and are ready to expand their repertoire to include this new advanced program within their current practice.
I am listing some recommended hotels to stay at. I have not any personal experience with these hotels. They are close to where we are expecting to hold the seminar or they are within easy reach of public transport making the training more accessible. They all had above average reviews online.
There are three categories listed. Some of these are in the Midtown East area, some are in the Chelsea Area, and some are out of town. The out of town options are much less money and the accommodations there will tend to be much roomier. Two of them are in business or specialty neighborhoods so there will be little activity there on Weekends. The third is close to LaGuardia airport as well as close to Midtown East and situated in a working class neighborhood.
I also included the Waldorf Astoria for those who are looking for a classic elegant New York Hotel experience. Their prices weren’t much higher than the Marriott in Midtown East, but I don’t know what size room they offer at that price. The info I got came from Hotels.com.
I don’t stay in the hotels in NYC, so if anyone has any first hand experience with them and you’d like to share it with us, please add your comments below. And if you have any questions about your trip/stay, post them here as well.
This list is from hotels.com. I suggest you call each hotel that you are considering and get quotes directly. Then search online with hotel name and address and the word “cheap”, or “cheapest price” if you want to see how low you can go.

Hi there are you coming down to sydney australia soon???
Hi Dominique,
Would love to come visit you down under! Do you know of anyone that can host us and put a group together for this training?
I don’t actually see the hotels listed. More info for those of us not from the area would be greatly appreciated.
Marc, Thakns for setting this up! Can you give us the hours of the seminar? I would like to take a flight out on Sunday so that I can avoid another night in a hotel. I am planning on coming in on Thursday unless we are starting late morning on Friday.
Hi Nancy,
The seminar starts at 10 am on Friday and will end at 3 pm on Sunday. That’s so you can use travel time wisely and save on Hotel fees if you like.
Marc
The pod is over 300.00 a night..way more than I can afford.
I do know the Penn station in Newark is 150.00 and you have to take the train back and forth everyday, then a cab.
Any ideas would be great.
Is anyone in the group looking for a roommate??
I am looking for a roommate for the seminar.
Happily married – Marc can verify that I am not an ax murderer!
Marc, Did you see the spot on Good Morning America or The View yesterday? I did not but several have told me about it and I have already booked one client because of it!
Also, can we set up a forum where the attendees of this program can discuss things? If we set up a Yahoo group then we can moderate the qualifications of those who wish to join and have an easy access to discussions.
I am attending & have booked a room at the Crowne Plaza at Times Square (there’s a metro from there to Marc’s office).
I am using Rewards points but would be happy to have a roommate to help offset some of my travel costs.
Is there any relation to the program by Martin and Marian Shirran?
Hi Brian,
No. This is Sheila’s own program based upon the concept of installing a virtual gastric band in your client’s imagination. She’s performed this procedure on between 400 and 500 clients over the last year and has a great track record of success with her clients. She’s teaching her method of doing this process during this upcoming training as well as the methods she uses to attract such a large number of clients for weight loss. Join us!
I’m looking forward to this training. Unfortunately I am not able to attend on the Sunday because of a prior comittment.
I like Nancy’s suggestion about a Yahoo group. It would be good to have an online community where we can compare notes and share our experiences as they relate to working with the techniques we’re going to be learning.
Sara
Hi Sara,
I set up a Yahoo Group for anyone interested in sharing rooms or rides for the seminar. Email me if you want an invite to the group.
I am very much interested in having a roommate for the upcoming workshop in NY. I would like some place closed enough to either walk or take a subway to the location. I know I’m asking for a miracle but why not ask.
Hi Kay,
There might be someone available to share with. I set up a special group for attendees intended for exactly that purpose. I believe you were invited to join the group. Why don’t you post your availability in that group and see what comes up?
Do we have a location for the seminar yet? It makes selecting a hotel sooooooo much easier.
Proximity, not price may be the detemining factor. If the hotel is 5 miles away then a taxi may be necessary, if it’s 2 then I can easily walk! But unless I know where, I really can’t make an informed decision.
A little more precise info would be appreciated. Pretty please!
Hi Erika,
We sold out of our original space last week and I should have the new location up at the end of today. It will be around Penn Station area of New York City. That’s 34th St. and 7th Ave.
Marc, how long is the seminar running each day? 10-what?
Hi Dee,
The training is scheduled for 10 am until 4 PM Friday & Saturday. Sunday will be 10 AM until 3 PM to help people make connections home.
On Saturday afternoon there will be a documentary film crew there at the end of the day. You might be interviewed if you want and you might get into
a documentary film on Hypnosis. That would be some nice publicity for everyone who wants it.
And for some entertainment, I’m working on getting a stage hypnotist to do a show for us all. Hopefully there will be enough people interested to enjoy this type of thing.
Hey Marc -can’t find your email address and am not able to get into Facebook today. Can you send me an email to brian@sandershypnosis.com. I have a question to ask of you.
Thanks!
HI, ARE YOU DOING ANOTHER TRAINING SEMINAR FOR PROFESSIONALS IN NEW YORK CITY ANY TIME SOON? THAM
THANKS!
Hi Linda,
We do not have any plans for another training in New York anytime soon. Our first training was offered in NYC and there was a lot of people who avoided it because it was in NYC. I sent out invitations to almost every hypnotist and hypnotherapist in the NYC area that I could locate online and in the phone book. I did this a couple of times. Once before I even committed to going forward with the event, and again once we decided to go ahead with it. The response from the New York area was really rather poor. Out of the 24 hypnotists that attended our first training, only about 4 of them came from the New York area.
So, since the demand for this type of training was so poor in New York, I thought it better to arrange trainings in other areas of the world. I would love to have another training in New York, but right now, unless I get more interest from around that area, it just doesn’t make sense to do it again there real soon.
Sorry you missed it in October.
Marc
